Do I need previous conservation experience to apply?

Some courses are meant for people with prior experience in conservation, and some others do not require you to have a conservation background. The prerequisites will be specified in the course description. If you have any questions, you can reach out and contact us.

 

When are application deadlines?

The deadlines are specified in each course description. We encourage you to apply early, since we have a limited number of seats.

 

Are the courses taught in English?

The majority of courses are taught in English. If a course is going to be taught in Italian, it will be specified in the course description.

 

Do you have scholarships available?

Not at this moment. However, some institutions will provide scholarships, so you can approach institutions you are affiliated with (libraries, colleges, etc) to see if they will fund your educational experience.

 

Do you provide accommodation?

We will help you find accommodation  in Recanati. The approximate cost of accommodation is Eur. 500,00 per month (or Eur. 125,00 per week). Accommodation costs are not included in course fees.

 

Is food covered in the tuition fees?

No.

 

How will I travel to Recanati?

The specifics of travel will depend on where you are located. If you need assistance in planning travel, please get in touch.

 

Are travel costs covered in the tuition fees?

Travel costs will be borne by the participants. Field trips (to archives, museums, etc) are included in the course fees.

 

Can you provide an invitation letter for participants travelling from outside the EU?

Yes. However, we encourage you to apply early, so that we can send you a physical copy of the invitation letter for Visa purposes.

 

How long after I apply will I know if I am accepted into the course?

We will get back to you as soon as possible.

 

Are there Italian language requirements?

No there are not, unless you are taking a course conducted in Italian.

 

Do courses at Recanati count for college credit?

Whether a university or college will award college credit depends on the institution. If the course you are taking is relevant to your degree, and covers a certain number of hours, then you can propose receiving credit to your institution. We can provide supporting letters if required.

 

Do I get a certificate of completion at the end of the course?

Yes.

 

How old do I have to be to apply?
